I became well-versed in grief at an early age. Being so led me to question both what it means to lose someone and how to honor their life as mine carries on. My creations are how I process the ways lost loved ones have changed me—for better and worse—and how losing them shaped that change. I use a mixture of photography, drawing, painting, and fiber work to recreate the sensations of loss; those which are nuanced, nauseating, and disorienting, yet enlightening. I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and currently reside in Los Angeles. In between, I received a BA in Traditional Animation from Columbia College Chicago.
